The Cook Islands Jazz & Blues Festival was held in Rarotonga,
29/30 March 2008. It was a fantastic two days of music, featuring
top musicians from New Zealand, The USA, United Kingdom
and local based favorites.

The musicians:
Edna Love, San Francisco (Soul, Blues)
Ed Ivey, Long Beach, USA (New Orleans style)
Mike Garner, New Zealand (Blues Guitarist)
Diana Harris, Los Angeles (Blues, Rock n Roll)
Caitlin Smith, New Zealand (Jazz)
Billy TK jnr, New Zealand ( Blues, Rock)
Rudy Aquino, Hawaii (Jazz)
Garth Young, Rarotonga (Jazz)
Duo Kura and Kahiki, Rarotonga (Polynesian style Soul and Jazz)
The Raro Rocket Scientists, Rarotonga (Rock n Roll)

Billy TK jnr Ltd in association with Air New Zealand and Pacific Resort
organized and launched the 1st Annual Jazz and Blues Festival.
Billy Te Kahika says: "This festival was an opportunity to have some
world class Blues and Jazz musicians perform in one of the most beautiful
settings in the world. I couldn’t imagine anything better than listening to
wonderful live music while enjoying a Cook Islands sunset and hospitality".

For anyone who likes the luxury of listening to good music in a small
audience and personal contact with the musicians, this festival is a gem.
And Rarotonga with it's relaxed atmosphere in a tropical climate is
the perfect venue.

The business community of Rarotonga has made it possible and among
the many sponsors of this wonderful festival, I would like to point out
the two hotels who hosted the musicians:
The Little Polynesian
and the Pacific Resort Rarotonga
